The niche line Auguste, “a collection of fragrances inspired by ancient books, handwritten by one of the many Grasse perfumers between 1905-1920″, has debuted with three fragrances, Esprit de Chine, Esprit de Chypre and Esprit de Cuir.

Esprit de Chine (shown) was inspired by Millot’s CrГЄpe de Chine and its descendents, and features notes of ambrette, orange blossom, lilac, carnation, muguet, white musk, tree moss absolute and sandalwood.

Esprit de Chypre draws inspiration from the chypre family established by Coty’s Chypre: “a real chypre is hard to find, and Auguste’s creation is absolutely true to its name”. The notes include bergamot, ylang ylang, citron, patchouli, nutmeg, vetyver, oak moss, heliotrope and rock rose.

Esprit de Cuir pays homage to Chanel’s Cuir de Russie and other variations on the leather theme by Piver, Coty, Guerlain and Lanvin. With notes of citron, geranium, galbanum, jasmine, clove, birch, opoponax, tonka bean and oak moss.

Auguste Esprit de Chine, Esprit de Chypre and Esprit de Cuir are available now at luckyscent, in 40 ml Extrait de Parfum.

Victoria’s Secret has launched Dream Angels Heavenly Kiss, a new limited edition flanker for their popular Dream Angels Heavenly fragrance. Heavenly Kiss is described as a “sweet and flirty” fruity vanilla oriental.

The notes feature red berry, red currant, watermelon, freesia petals, guava, apricot nectar, jasmine, soft vanilla, creamy woods, english toffee, marshmallow and sensual musk.
